Tourist Attractions
Colonial Heights has two major attractions: the Violet Bank and the Swift Creek Mill. The Violet Bank is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as a historic house museum. The structure is a standing example of American Interior Decorative Arts and Federal architecture. The Swift Creek Mill which dates back to the 17th century is considered as America’s oldest grist mill. Today it is now a dinner theater that serves candlelit dinners and excellent performances.
